Here is the interface for a dividend capture program I wrote last year. It actually works but it is not a get rich quick deal so I lost interest.

CNBC just said FOMC not expected to raise today -- could be good sign Also, Walnut not sure if you saw this from my earlier post - BTW - Been meaning to ask you -- have you ever had access to HFT platforms with level 3? I picture you writing complex Algos for HFT. I have written some Java trading bots. But my strategies have not been HFT and I doubt I could compete in that area. I have wanted to upgrade to level 3 but can't justify it Real Quick - I picture you like James Simons one day. He was a professor over here in Long Island -- Stony Brook University. A genius mathematician. I believe he is a billionaire now. A little bit of his story in case you never heard of him. from wiki - Renaissance Technologies LLC is an East Setauket, New York-based American investment management firm founded in 1982 by James Simons, an award-winning mathematician and former Cold War code breaker, which specializes in systematic trading using only quantitative models derived from mathematical and statistical analyses. Renaissance is one of the first highly successful hedge funds using quantitative trading— known as "quant hedge funds"—that rely on powerful computers and sophisticated mathematics to guide investment strategies. In 1988 the firm established its most profitable portfolio, the Medallion Fund, which used an improved and expanded form of Leonard Baum's mathematical models, improved by algebraist James Ax, to explore correlations from which they could profit. Simons and Ax started a hedge fund and christened it Medallion in honor of the math awards that they had won.[5][6] Renaissance's flagship Medallion fund, which is run mostly for fund employees,[7] "is famed for one of the best records in investing history, returning more than 35 percent annualized over a 20-year span."[4] From 1994 through mid-2014 it averaged a 71.8% annual return.[8] Renaissance offers two portfolios to outside investors—Renaissance Institutional Equities Fund (RIEF) and Renaissance Institutional Diversified Alpha (RIDA).[9] Simons ran Renaissance until his retirement in late 2009.[10] The company is now jointly run by Peter Brown and Robert Mercer, two computer scientists specializing in computational linguistics who joined Renaissance in 1993 from IBM Research.[1][9][11] Simons continues to play a role at the firm as non-executive chairman and remains invested in its funds, particularly the secretive and consistently profitable black-box strategy known as Medallion.[12] Because of the success of Renaissance in general and Medallion in particular, Simons has been described as the best money manager on earth.[13][14][15] By October 2015, Renaissance had roughly $65 billion worth of assets under management, most of which belong to employees of the firm.

Alright - time to re-assess -- we're coming up on the announcement.
From what you see Walnut - VIX Futures, spot ViX, contango at 11.44% -- How are you liking our trade going into the announcement? VXX currently 19.07
I know sometimes price action can be all over the place and trading can be eratic when announcement is released.
For Example, you'll see VXX hit 18.70 and then 5 mins later be trading at 19.39 and back and forth until it finds real direction.
Then I remember an FOMC meeting when TVIX was back in the 20s and it acted a lot like today and was down going into the announcement. It traded right down after the announcement and never looked back and obviously here we are today at TVIX 5.23. lol
CNBC so far is calling todays announcement an expected non-event and so far from what I see it definitely appears that way.
Just curious to know what your thinking.

I think we are in now and sometime FOMC afternoons can be ridiculous so get ready to tough out 20 minutes but I think it will go our way
I don't see how you have been able to make so much money without holding overnight. VXX might be 18.60 tomorrow morning.

I think we are in now and sometime FOMC afternoons can be ridiculous so get ready to tough out 20 minutes but I think it will go our way I think the move right now is to either stick with position or lighten up (if feeling little nervous) but I would definitely not chase in either direction during the announcement unless you absolutely see clear direction. But I am now 27K short TVIX right now and that is plenty to hopefully capture a nice profitable move down in SCAMs. Charts are looking real good in our favor from what I see BUT I know that can change real fast -- Yellen is definitely a market mover. S&P looks to be within support levels and trading flat. S&P Hourly indicators looking bullish. Some conflicting mixed signals on other timeframes. But as long as S&P remains calm and doesn't sell hard -- SCAMs will definitely take another leg lower. I really like our position going into the announcement. Of course, if we get a nasty surprise from Yellen and S&P sells hard, that will be good for a 10 cent move higher in SCAMs. lol Just kidding - depending on how serious the selling in S&P could be, it can have a little larger effect on SCAMs popping BUT I honestly don't see it right now with charts, indicators, spot vix, vix futures, contango... But will definitely will need to stay calm through the announcement. If nervous, its always ok to pull some off the table - can always rejoin the trade afterwards. IMO

VXX might be 18.60 tomorrow morning. I've been fortunate enough to use high leverage and nail a lot of good trades. Honestly, I have the good Lord to Thank. I switched over my Scottrade to a corporate account beginning of this year. I also took out around $42k out of my account and will probably take out more. I still have a good amount of funds to trade with. I won't do this again going forward because it is personal and I'm sure there's a lot of YMB posters watching. I've been trying to get them to join us. Some really smart traders over there. For month of January -

What you should be most thankful for is your brains, imo. (and of course your health). You both have tremendous smarts as do others here.

Nice!! No change in rates! So far so good! Listening to statement now! Very important
SCAMs should drop and so far reaction has been minimal at best - a non-event
