Doesn't look like it will hold. Back to 6.30's likely. Would need a move back over 6.62 now to break the intraday bearish pattern. Well, the support held so far. But so did the resistance.

My longer term fundamental theory on MNKD:
MNKD breaks into two companies; one for Afrezza (the inhalable diabetes drug, & already partnered with Sanofi), and another for Technosphere (the inhaler delivery system - already talk of possibilities for cancer, Alzheimer's, pain medications, vaccinations, etc).
And then the Technosphere company is acquired.
The founder of MNKD has a proven history of selling his companies (9 of the 17 he started). And he's already got another IPO that is expected to launch this week - Second Sight Medical Products, Inc.

Hoping it can hold 6.50 today (1st resistance of the breakout). Doesn't look like it will hold. Back to 6.30's likely. 6.30's now thoroughly tested.

This is how "efficient" the markets are: Second Sight IPO (EYES)Has years of R&D & FDA approvals ahead of it; likely to also see multiple secondary offerings during that time; initial potential for 100,000 US customers (1.5 million worldwide) and hopes to begin clinical studies for applications that, if successful, might see potential for as many as 20-25 million people worldwide, perhaps in 2019.
And all of EYES's customers would be virtually a one-time customer. MNKD10 years of R&D development; already through the majority of FDA processes; has already begun mass production for monetizing product; large international partner not only paying to market the product worldwide, but will also absorb any associated losses; immediate potential for 15 million identified customers - and that's only one targeted group of a particular diabetes type - potential for hundreds of millions of customers worldwide.
And all of these customers would be reoccurring customers generating a reoccurring revenue stream.
Some analysts already forecasting future potential for as high as $7 billion in annual sales.
And all of this only entails one particular drug they'll be marketing. The potential for the delivery device used for this drug could even surpass that of the diabetes drug. Yet, in it's first 2 days of trading, EYES already trading as high as 1/4 the market cap of MNKD. MNKD remains down ~75% from it's post-IPO high, even after it received FDA approval and secured a large international partner - the two very things that merely the hope of them achieving had propelled the pps to it's all-time highs only months after it's own IPO. This is one example why, for me, a company's fundamentals will always only mean squat relative to its stock price, at least in the short to mid term.

MNKD fans are bidding this up regardless of any fundies. Would not touch it with a 10 foot pole..... ( cue Jack to come by and say something really funny right here!)

MNKD fans are bidding this up regardless of any fundies. Would not touch it with a 10 foot pole..... ( cue Jack to come by and say something really funny right here!) But see, that's my point. I've done the fundamental research on this, and you know me, I normally don't. I only did because the long term charts are so amazingly bullish, so I wanted to see why that might be. And what I found is probably the most bullish fundamentals of any company I've ever researched, especially relative to where it's trading. Unless there's a cure for diabetes on the horizon, and that is possible, this company has huge potential. But even if there is a cure, the delivery device portion of the company itself is still very valuable. At least it shows why I don't normally trade fundamentals

Them dirty SOBs!
I had an order in all week for MNKD at 5.64 (expecting them to flash it down to 5.63 - I figured out the pattern on these flash down moves - there is a pattern). I went in and canceled it a little bit ago thinking it wouldn't happen until Monday now, and not 2 minutes later check out what it did!

Stopped out MNKD for ~5% loss.
I don't feel like holding anything long here unless it can do better than the market. And that should be an easy thing to do right now.
