Predicting the market based on current news is a mugs game
The world seems easily as dangerous now as it did prior to WW2 or during the cold war when I was a kid.

The world according to Armstrong: It's about capital movement...capital is now fleeing Europe, China and other horror states such as Venezuela. Also fleeing bonds. Ergo, the Dow will go to near 40000. Nothing to do with trade or whatever other news du jour there is. That being said, his chart as far as I can tell is still showing major S at 21,633.

mACYS -18% today
evidently no one is shopping
just wait till fed workers skip a few paychecks
wall st is a wishful market this year
just wait till the march auto worker layoffs.
they used to say wall st trades on the economy 6 months from now. I dont believe that any more.
