Jim's video
The weakness today really comes as no big surprise since we knew we were breaking down from a small rising wedge and we had identified a likely line of resistance that today was more fully confirmed. Now we look for support and a likely trip back to the purple neck line around the 2820 level. While there is NO guarantee that this WILL be an inverted head and shoulders pattern, we have seen enough of the these to be on the lookout for one. So, let's see where we find support and IF we head back for the neck line to try to get over that level...

VXX hourly indicators. I have to say that hourly TSV seems to be saying that the correction is not over. Daily stoch and 4 hr stoch look unfinished also. Other indicators look a little better. I'm not ready to sell more yet.

That VXX H&S / SP inverted H&S is all we have working for us.
I'm not sure that in big volatility events my indicators are foolproof.
So hoping the H&S pattern fulfills itself.
(Just to be on the record)

government shutdown on december 7th is very likely. Expecting more major spikes on the volatility ahead especially with backwardization being as strong and trending like it has.

IWM closed right on the potential shoulder line, to the penny. I'll be watching this one tomorrow for possible direction of the indices as they have yet to hit their shoulder lines, though they are close. Also, S&P futures:
