good job Mist. Was it worth the aggravation? Trust me LV I wish I could just leave on a short VXX position all the time and not have to worry about it But that time has come and gone I should have been shorting the VIX SCAMs for the past 6 years and just let it ride But then again I didn't have the funds that I do today oh well... The times have changed -- all you have to do is look at vix futures coming up in next 2 months and you can see that

There's a huge roll yield right now between the vix and the first month futures. It could mean a major spike is coming on the vix to close the difference. Certainly looks like poor contango after september like you have mentioned. At any rate, I covered everything and safely in cash 100%

And that should conclude our week of upside gap fills. Even IYT got in on the gap fill action.
(or, if you want to see a really good reach for an upside gap fill, check out EROS. Up more than 25% today to fill it's 07/27 gap. Looks like a good short to me for a move down to 2.30's, or ~80% downside from today's close)

An interesting observation:
After this last run, NDX is now only trading flat to where it was back on 07/27, however VXX is up 5% since then. That's positive divergence in the VIX scams. That like never happens, not for more than a day or two anyway

...But, after all these major index gaps are filled, I expect VXX to rise. My upside targets for VXX are 47.65, then 48.30, then 56.00, then 72-73 And maybe I'm thinking too far ahead, and maybe even dreaming. LOL Here's the bullish potential I see in VXX with gap fill support ~45.64 (shown by arrow): Next resistance is a small upside gap fill @ 47.65 The next resistance after that is the shoulder test line @ 48.30 (lower line) A move over that shoulder test line would put the entire iH&S back into play, and that would put the next resistance all the way back up at the neckline (upper line) which sits ~56 And a move over that neckline would confirm an upside target >72 IMO, any move >48.30, even a gap up, would put that iH&S into play
