10 things you need to know before the opening bell Trump threatens to shut down the government over border-wall funding. UK business confidence is falling ahead of Brexit. A survey of 601 businesses conducted by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation found 31% of employers expected the UK economy to worsen, compared with 28% expecting it to improve. A typhoon shut down markets in Hong Kong. Hong Kong's stock exchange was closed Wednesday as Typhoon Hato caused authorities to raise the storm warning to its highest level for the first time in five years. Google and Walmart are joining forces to take on Amazon. Starting in September, Google's e-commerce platform, Google Express, will count Walmart among its list of vendors. Apple scales back its car ambitions. Apple has all but abandoned its plan to build a car in its own factories and is shifting focus to building self-driving systems for other vehicles, according to The New York Times' Daisuke Wakabayashi. Herbalife has a plan that could squeeze Bill Ackman. 10 things in tech you need to know today 1. Apple reportedly scaled back its car project as the company was unsure what exactly an "Apple Car" should be. The team is now reportedly working to test its self-driving technology on existing vehicles. 2. Popular weather app AccuWeather reportedly sent its users' location data to a monetization firm. The app seemingly continued to gather information even when permission to access a user's location was denied. 3. Popular Chinese drone maker DJI will soon roll out a mandatory update to maximize flight safety of its Spark drone. The company announced that users unwilling to update the device will have their Spark grounded. 4. Google is reportedly working on a pair of Bluetooth headphones. The headphones, codenamed "Bisto," should come integrated with the company's digital helper, Google Assistant, which would be triggered with a dedicated physical button. 5. Uber is adding a series of new features that will help drivers better work on their own terms. Drivers will be able to set an arrival time to better calculate how much time they have to drive people around before heading off elsewhere. 6. Microsoft is discontinuing GigJam, a work-sharing app it first announced two years ago. The app never became officially, fully available, but the company is shutting down the preview version it released. 7. Facebook is losing teenagers to both Instagram and Snapchat. A study by eMarketer showed how, with people aged between 12 and 17, Facebook is experiencing an accelerated decline in user growth, whereas both Instagram and Snapchat are growing their userbase at an increasingly faster pace. 8. Nintendo's mini SNES sold out its pre-orders on both Amazon and Best Buy within minutes. The company's new edition of the classic Super Nintendo, coming out September 29, will cost just $80 (£62), and also be available from GameStop, Toys R' Us, and Walmart. 9. A promotional video from Intel seemingly showed what seems to be a Surface Book in black. Microsoft doesn't offer the device in any colour other than silver, so the one seen in the video could either be just a render, or a peek at a refreshed model, expected to be unveiled later this year. 10. The solar eclipse caused a 10% drop in Netflix viewing. The company announced the news itself on Twitter, where it said: "Really, there was a 10% drop in plays during the eclipse today. Well played, Moon." www.businessinsider.com/10-things-in-tech-you-need-to-know-today-august-23-2017-8

I'm surprised futures are as weak as they are (ES -8.75). I didn't see anything in yesterday's move that signaled a pullback this morning. Indices didn't even peak at a resistance yesterday. If market does turn back up today, and it likely will, keep an eye out on those upside gap fills. Market could turn hard if/when those get tagged, even if filled early/midday. I believe this move is only a technical move to fill those upside gaps: NDX 5912-5918 AAPL 160.95 SPX 2466-2468 XLF 25.05 After this move, I expect to see S&P 2350's

By the way, I actually did go to Jackson hole on my road trip. I have some interesting findings. You know how the media keep saying the fed are meeting in Jackson hole? It's actually not true. They meet in the Grand Tetons National Park at the Jackson Lake Lodge. It's not that close to Jackson Hole in reality. In fact, i found old pictures of Yellen and Draghi standing in the lobby and outside where the main viewing area is to look at the Tetons. My brother and I recreated some old bernake and Yellen pictures we parodied while we were there. We also made a video talking about how the media keep telling everyone a lie about Jackson hole. haha. I might eventually post some pics.
