With 9-10% contango VXX is headed down and markets UP
this is consolidation for move higher in markets -- target SP2468ish
Herc, you really have to do a lot of homework to play individual stocks. Far more than it takes to play the VIX SCAMs. Look at Tesla as an example. TA was pointing to 400 and stopped just short of it and dropped like a brick with news release

S&P Daily Chart The way I see this playing out is S&P will hit new highs and hit the SP2468 large iH&S target then at some point markets will drop real hard to backtest yesterday's breakout (top green arrow) and will be similar to the last move/backtest (bottom green arrow) That will most likely be good for a 2 dollar rise (maybe more) in VXX when it does happen. VXX should make new all time lows again and most likely test 12 with this move higher in markets Once S&P hits the SP2468 target I would not be shorting VIX SCAMs and will look to put on long VXX position

We know VXX is not getting to the 11's without the normal drama.

We know VXX is not getting to the 11's without the normal drama. I think the real pullbacks are behind us in S&P We had 3 pullbacks down to low 2400 and now indicators are all bullish with more legs to run I think they save the BIG one for after SP hits 2468 target especially if S&P doesn't backtest yesterday's breakout before hits that target I don't expect it to backtest prior to hitting target so the drop will be all the more fast and hard I'm so curious to see where VXX will be trading when S&P hits that target I believe VXX will get to 12 and possibly 11.90 range

Kind of what size pullback are you thinking for after 2468?
And yes, even the ES chart looks a lot better at the moment..

Kind of what size pullback are you thinking for after 2468? And yes, even the ES chart looks a lot better at the moment.. Depends on how long it takes to hit that target - i expect it to by next week some time So after that it will have to backtest that descending support (at minimum) - I'd say around low 2400 again (support line descends more with time) and now if that support were to break then easily mid 2300 and possibly low 2300 at that point the worm will have turned and we will be in a real correction and/or potentially a bear market I am also curious as to know what will be the catalyst -- failed tax reform? North Korea? For now, without a doubt in my mind, SP is headed for new all time highs and VXX all time lows

VXX might very well be countertrending as SP gets that frothy again. If vix gets deep in the nines, and VXX gets a little below the daily BB, you gotta be wary. I think

So to hit SP2468 target, S&P has to rise another 20 pts
where will that put VXX? I'm not sure
Also, I view the target range as anywhere from SP2468-2500
The large iH&S target measures SP2468 and we also have an ascending triangle that depending on how you measure it measures anywhere from SP2470s - SP2490s
