Contango on my computer is back over 12 again. I hadn't noticed that Vixcentral.com VIX index quote updates slowly. I don't know if it has always been like that and I just didn't notice. So for now their contango reads higher. vixcentral is definitely delayed

S&P is back in that rising wedge. A move above that RS shoulder line test would also be bullish. IMO However, S&P can still make fast move down toward possible neckline as well... VXX chart still bearish and that can be indication of this possible H&S S&P pattern failing to validate and can be bullish OR S&P can confirm a H&S and if plays out will bring S&P back down to low SP 2300 area S&P Hourly image hosting no register

I was on important phone call this morning at the open and missed the move down. I'm also hoping VIX SCAMs spike just before the announcement. FOMC announcements have mostly been non-events. I don't think FED will do anything to spook markets. QTR percent rate hike is baked in.

3. Mark Zuckerberg talked to North Carolina students about diversity, but his company employs fewer black people than Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Yahoo. He also defended Trump advisor Peter Thiel's position on Facebook's board, saying the company needed "diversity of viewpoints."
They don't hire black Americans or other Americans b/c they are hiring H1Bs with the help of our dear leaders. (I'm in N.C., they are all over the place here).

Hey guys, the other day I was in a different forum, where someone told me about this group. I am usually reluctant about visiting sites ppl talk about in forums, but I had a good feeling about this one. I am really amazed to see there is a place with constructive comments, so I want to thank whoever invited me. I've been shorting volatility ETN's for the past few years, mostly TVIX. I used VIX options and simultaneous shorting of XIV as a hedge. Options decay over time so I know I will be losing that investment, but no money is worth a good nights sleep. Since I usually keep them longterm and daytrade a portion of the position. Did you guys come up with any hedging strategy other then sizing down

I shorted VXX at nice low price of 16.55 - 8k shares. Was occupied earlier and missed move down. keeping dry powder
VXX H&S target measures 16.20 range
Will get out if target gets hit.
Hoping target gets hit before FOMC

S&P 15 min chart A move above that right shoulder line would be very bullish along with possible Head test. IMO Also, S&P is back in rising wedge. However, move down to S&P 2354ish can be setting up S&P for possible H&S pattern. One thing for sure, VIX, VIX futures showing absolutely no fear of Fed so far. Contango @ 11-12%

How has the options hedging been working out over time? They tend to always be way overpriced based on a normal distribution assumption, but we know that TVIX is definitely not normally distributed, so I assume that hedging with options still works pretty well?
