GDX in general looks very bad. But would expect it to pop back to ~20.20's one last time for a final backtest. Hopefully this is a rounded bottom building today for exactly that (needs over 18.80 now to confirm).

That H&S on CNL.TO daily points to a 1.20 bottom.
I'm just going to stop looking.

Hate to say it, but GDX does look bad today.

Hate to say it, but GDX does look bad today. Hopefully it's short term capitulation. UUP's final dead cat bounce resistance (if that's what this is) is ~22.93. Very close to it now. And GLD finally hit it's bottom BB today, and still above major support at 114.13. Perhaps that's enough to get a good bounce...?

Agree - its ALL about the $dollar and as far as gold goes how worthless they can make it!!! Muahahahaaaaa!

Hate to say it, but GDX does look bad today. Yes, and I apologize profusely if anyone bought it. I thought it looked good several months ago.

No need to apologize Novice and whatever you do DO NOT dump it now - that's what the MFers want us to do. Buritica is a world class mine there are only a handful of those on each continent.

If you look closely at the GDXJ chart you will see: the biggest dumps and I mean by 5x the volume of the rest of the day come at the very last candle. 4M+ shares today and yesterday. You have to ask yourself: WHO BOUGHT THEM? they sure the hell did not evaporate into thin air. I am going to suggest that you watch these etf's closely. And use the 3x JNUG also. This could very well be forming some kind of at least temporary bottom. JNUG could rise as much as 30%..... Hmm let me see we are at 4.95 on JNUG today. I would love to see more REALLY huge intraday candles tomorrow. The daily candles are already out of control. If this keeps up I will be able to OWN entire companies! (JK LOL!)

I STRONGLY suspect the Goldman Sachs (and their ilk) of the world. What better time to pick up cheap shares?

Sorry Jack...feel bad for you. GLD gapping right under that 114 support. May at least bounce at some point, but chart says it's not done dropping today. I still have that gold target of 1140's, so maybe it'll bounce some there. But in the long run, still have that longer term downside for GLD to 97.65. (which will likely line up with gold slightly under 1,000). I did not think the parabolic move for the markets would be on the back of a RISING dollar.

I know where there is a whole ridge of $500 per ton flagstone that I will be mining next year, why don't you guys invest in that instead...it will make money in the first week. I need some bigger machinery

Here is what a weathered outcropping of high value flagstone looks like. We will core drill this soon, hope it is 40 feet thick.

But until GLD's over 114.25, it could drop again (hopefully only for creating a bottoming pattern)
