OK, finally updated this list. SCCO probably reflects a one time div and now is prob a bad time to buy anything with the spx at a high

It appears that troubled mortgage REIT Chimera Investment Corp. (CIM) is nearing the point when it must come clean with investors. After months of delays and extensions, the NYSE has given Chimera a final deadline to produce its 2011 end-of-year financial reports or be de-listed from the Exchange.

I love that you bought LTD. I was thinking of doing that too but am not in the mood to hold over 3 day weekend.

Do not hold LTD only for the div. It is not sustainable. They have a LOT of debt....
LTD's dividend is not sustainable. Over the past 12 months the company paid more in dividends than it earned.

Could u add the OEP to the REITS spreadsheet? Just for comparison to mining companies and any other groups u do in the future?

Could u add the OEP to the REITS spreadsheet? Just for comparison to mining companies and any other groups u do in the future? The reits dont work on the OEP because the REITS arent really set up to make profits like a normal company. Payout ratio is all that matters for a reit really

CLF when you have this: Balance Sheet Total Cash (mrq): 195.20M Total Cash Per Share (mrq): 1.37 Total Debt (mrq): 4.34B Total Debt/Equity (mrq): 75.41 Current Ratio (mrq): 1.19 Book Value Per Share (mrq): 32.51 Cash Flow Statement Operating Cash Flow (ttm): 514.50M Levered Free Cash Flow (ttm): -497.06M
it gets followed by this from seeking alpha: Cliffs Natural Resources (CLF) fell off a cliff. The stock fell by 20% on Wednesday after a brutal announcement, with the company slashing the dividend by 76% and issuing a slug of stock. Clearly this was a surprise to the market, but, in my opinion, it should not have been given the weak operating metrics, especially cash flow, and the strapped balance sheet.

That makes sense doesn't it? That the market should not have been surprised?

Your chart is labeled QUARTERLY dividend. Secondly HOW many times do I need to explain that is is not the SHARE price but the dollar amount you have invested that is important? Look at that chart thinking how much wold I be getting if I had $1000 invested in each stock? Which stock would pay me the most on my 1000 dollars?
The answer is the one that pays the highest percentage. In this case TWO.
