Well that stinks. Investing.com completely changed their futures charts. This is regarding the charts found at www.investing.com/charts/real-time-futures-chartsAlthough some of the changes might be for the better, finding some of the basics I used to watch is sort of tough, and this is one of my main tools for gauging the market. In case anyone else has been using it as well, here's some of the tickers I found so far: Gold futures: GC S&P500 futures (ES): US500 (then choose the one from CME, not NYSE) Nasdaq futures: NDX DJI futures: US30 WTI Oil Futures: CL VIX futures: VX

I was annoyed to see that too. I am hoping it turns out that it was for the better after we get used to it, but I have my doubts

Although it allows you to customize for a particular FIB, it doesn't actually save it. So there's no way to include a 23.6 or 76.4 FIB for example. At least not that I can find so far.

You guys watch gold futures v. spot gold? I've pretty much always watched the gold futures. Not even sure anymore where you can see the actual spot price.

For me, same with oil and VIX. I spent years watching spot VIX chart before realizing it was utterly worthless as far as predicting its own future movements.

Watching Bloomberg Daybreak Asia and I'm seeing futures UP. And I'm showing no movement on investing.com.
Why did they have to change the site?!
Anyone know any other site to chart futures? Sooner or later I'm going to have to open up a Futures Trading Account. It's been calling me for some time now...

Walnut - not sure if you are aware
UVXY and TVIX are set to reverse split 5:1
UVXY on January 12th TVIX estimated Feb. 8th
BTW - I'm hoping for scams to be trading up in pre-market tomorrow. Would be a gift. Either way, I'll be shorting them.

Novie - All time frames are important. I only trade volatility and RARELY hold a position overnight because I aggressively trade them all day from premarket, regular trading session and sometimes in the AH. I don't place any stops.
If I miss an opening gap down 30-40 cents in TVIX, UVXY I'm okay with that and go Heavily short If I feel there's further downside. Aggressively short 20k-30K shares of UVXY or TVIX. I accumulate up to that amount with a lot of orders so I'm ALWAYS averaging in my position and leaving dry powder.
For me, if I held overnight, it would be a very small position 5k-8k shares at most and IMO isn't worth the risk but occasionally I do. For example, if we have a Bullish Monday and I feel there will be follow through the next day on Tuesday, etc. But with the way UVXY, TVIX trade, there's really no need to hold overnight unless you can't watch on a daily basis. Its honestly not worth the RISK if you have time to trade all day.
