THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE MSCI GLOBAL STANDARD INDICES
MSCI GREECE INDICES NOVEMBER 2013 SEMI-ANNUAL INDEX REVIEW
As announced on June 11, 2013, MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MSCI), a leading provider of
investment decision support tools worldwide, will reclassify the MSCI Greece
Indices from Developed Markets to Emerging Markets coinciding with the November
2013 Semi-Annual Index Review, as of the close of November 26, 2013.
MSCI has made available the post-reclassification pro forma list of constituents
for the MSCI Greece Indices. To derive this list, MSCI has applied the Emerging
Markets index maintenance methodology to the existing index constituents as well
as newly eligible companies in the MSCI Greece Indices.
As part of the November 2013 Semi-Annual Index Review, there will be eight
additions to and no deletions from the MSCI Greece Index, bringing the number of
constituents to ten. The MSCI Greece Index will have a pro forma weight of 0.43%
in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, based on data as of October 18, 2013. The
three largest pro forma constituents of the MSCI Greece Index are OPAP (weight
of 18.01%), OTE HELLENIC TELECOM (weight of 17.95%), and NATIONAL BANK OF GREECE
(weight of 11.01%).
There will be one addition to and nine deletions from the MSCI Greece Small Cap
Index, bringing the number of constituents to eleven. The MSCI Greece Small Cap
Index will have a pro forma weight of 0.78% in the MSCI Emerging Markets Small
Cap Index, based on data as of October 18, 2013.
