Fridays haven't been super great market days lately IMO. Been a long time since there was a good one if my memory is right.
Seems like there was one good one 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Afraid this green candle to be followed by another big red one (on the 15 minute). watch vix begin to climb in the next minute or two.

tons of retail stores closing lately.
All the young people I know do most of their shopping online. Very rarely go to malls.

I think VIX barely got to 13 last night
here comes the VXX rollover
I have my buy to cover at 15.87 hoping it fills
just above 200ema on 15 min chart at 15.85

I still see a 5 or 6 cent expected daily drop on VXX despite the front month backwardation.

That puts monthly VXX drop at over 10%.
The average long term drop that VXX has shown is 5% per month.

this afternoon is going to be interesting going into the close -- not sure if traders will want to hold going into weekend
but there's definitely a lot of Buying power stepping in when the floor drops

yeah it's too bad. Our local Macy's just closed. And several others. This why Rick Akerman uses AMZN as his bellweather stock.

VXX still strong and refusing to rollover - even with S&P flat
need it to break down already - if not VXX can hit 16.64 area
VXX 16.24

I think this vix rule helps skate through these periods. Even using some leverage. I wish you hadn't closed your IB account because it is perfect for this lower frequency trading.

There's that ugly red candle forming, took longer than I thought. vix really does not like those today.

once that April contract is out of the way - I believe things will get better
that might be the spot to put on VXX short (after expiry)

VXX going higher still - I got stopped out
and will reshort at 16.65 area or higher
backwardation steepening
have to be careful also because VXX is well above its 20dsma on Daily chart - have to see how it closes

ouch I was hoping the vix would not be this nervous today. when VXX doesn't rollover when it normally does a thousand times and have VIX futures showing backwardation -- it can be a dangerous time to be short VXX I was looking for a quick scalp and didn't get it

Trying to stay short and avoid the periodic static. It is easy to get leveraged out of short vxx, usually it is nothing. I will be out if SHTF.

You know what is funny? photos of our stone are being used by retailers all over the country, whether we sold to them or not. Massive copyright infringement. Our stone is the prettiest but those people need to pay.
Google "mahogany flagstone" and about 1/4th of those photos are our stone.
