Very neutral market but seems like vix wants to drop. Trust me -- I'm starting to think my order to cover at 15.92 is premature bull market is definitely resilient have to see how S&P closes

yeah - I don't think I could have called the move to VXX 16.28 thru 16.40 any better
VXX hit 16.28 exactly and then backed off; ramped up again and hit VXX 16.46
The trade I made was to play the backtest of the moving averages

well played Mist. You win this one. I must say, my brother has shorted tvix since has been able to hold a long term short on tvix since late December in the 80s. He finally covered today after all this time and really beat my performance without losing any sleep over it.

He finally covered today after all this time and really beat my performance without losing any sleep over it. I'm sure he kept it a reasonable position and wasn't all in on margin

Reasonable is relative. I strong spike on the vix would have wiped him out if he was holding it at the time.

Interestingly, many on my buy watch list for long term account are green. Not sure what that means except that they aren't buys yet. Now know it means they were frontrunning 'em. Also silver miners up big with spot only +$.01. Where's Dino btw?

Know where moving averages are on the VXX daily chart On VXX Daily chart 20dsma is at 16.39. 10dsma also very close to 20dsma
Now VXX Hourly chart When VXX broke out of that 17.41 range to 16.28 to downside, it made a sharp move lower and never backtested the VXX 16.28 pivot. So, with bullish indicators and VXX trading at 15.73, I knew VXX would rise at least to back test that 16.28 pivot and it did. Always allow a little possible wiggle room and knowing that VXX 20dsma is at 16.39 (currently and it moves a little), it made sense for VXX to at least get up to 16.28-16.39 and that's how I came up with VXX 16.28 thru 16.40 (allowing for moving average to move slightly) for a short term move. For VXX to get over that 20dsma on daily chart and stay there, it would have to take a serious move and usually VXX will just tag it or go slightly above it and then fall back hard. Now, looking back at VXX Hourly chart, when VXX broke above those moving averages this morning, VXX never backtested the moving averages and would absolutely need to at least once. VXX Hourly

I emailed Jim -- he's confused and doesn't see the large Triangle and when viewing S&P chart, you need to look at it with your head tilted slightly left as well since S&P is rising in bull trend. Also, the next tag of purple triangle support or resistance will be the break and I believe it will be upper resistance but price action needs to confirm. image posting
