Previous times VXX is suddenly up as much as it was up today from previous close (~ 7% today), it generally has followed through and became a bearish event that you might not want to ride out.

Well, at least it was only a month's worth of S&P gains loss at the low today. Although it felt bad, I still think today was only a typical pullback. Banks were closed yesterday, so all those mutual funds probably had to dump their equities all in one day today. FAS was down 4% (typical) and IWM held the 76.4 FIB from the Sep low. And so long as S&P holds 2134 into a close, it'll hold it's 76.4 FIB from those same Sep lows (but it did slip below it today) Besides, I'm still waiting on a final bank rally to slay this bull But we'll see. Tomorrow could prove me totally wrong
