ES might pull oil down with it unfortunately but I see the potential for a bounce too.
Every time I tried to mess with oil futures I got whacked in a short time so I wouldn't dream of it any more.
The volatility is hard to appreciate properly.
Although, right now CL volatility is only 40% which is not so bad sounding. It is the statistical kurtosis of oil distributions that kills you.

I called a friend this morning and told him long oil/short gold looked to be a good hedged trade for the day or three. Not sure if he did it though.
