Why is it up? Because of the yuan IMF thing? But the dollar is up?

'Cause: ...pm's only FIBbing & backtesting... FIBs & backtests trump all, even currencies (at least for a short while).

FIBS or no, it seems odd to see gold rising with the rising $. What are the l-t fibs from the lows to the $1900 in 2011 and the $50 silver? Silver has been crushed since then.

Looking at both the 76.4 and 78.6 FIBs (I never use the 78.6 except on futures)

Gold lost some support today, resistance now ~1223-1225. But if it can mange over that then it would be "saved".

So was I! Thought it was headed to the 800s. 800s!!! Oh ye of little faith. Well, the German crooks at Deutsche said buy during 2nd, 3rd qtr. Soooo while we shouldn't see 800s, should be some retracement. That doesn't mean the miners will go down, does it?

Quite a jump overnight. They will spend all day taking it down as there's an FOMC meeting this week. (Isn't there always an FOMC meeting?) Personally think there's trouble all over the place not being reported that much here--i.e., Europe, China, even the ME and Russia. Ergo, the dollar strength along with the strength in the metals.
