No, I don't have twins. But I am a twin myself. And so is my mom.
My girls are 7 and 3. I also have a boy who is 16 now.
My wife is Vietnamese. She was born there but came over here when she was about 2 years old.
This party won't be as extravagant as last years. We had it lined up to rent one of those large inflatable water slide/play things, but it didn't pan out (told me it got a hole in it 2 days before our party). Couldn't find another to rent on such short notice. So then I figured wow, for as much as they charge to rent one of those (~$300), I'll just buy one ($600-$900) and rent it out to family and friends for $50-$100 when they want. I'd get at least the difference back between renting & buying it. But unfortunately no one around here has them in stock and it was too late to wait on delivery of one. But we do have a baby pool (3"), another for toddlers (12") and another for the older kids (12'x36"). We also have a slip'n'slide (set-up for downhill of course), one of those small play area pools that holds a few kids with a knee-high slide & other activities, sprinklers, squirt guns, water balloons and lots of outdoor water related games lined up. We are also creating our own "ice cream truck" using a tractor and pull behind wagon (that the kids can also ride in). Bought ~150 assorted ice creams bars today and will print pictures out to hang on the side of the wagon for them to choose from, and even have a blow horn that plays annoying chime-like music (can't have an ice cream truck without the annoying music you know).
Last year's party was really cool though. We set-up all sort of carnival games and even set-up temporary walls so it felt like you were actually playing the game in a booth. Also a popcorn machine, cotton candy maker, face-painting, tattoos, etc. It was a lot of fun. Many of the kids who had come are still talking about it - mostly because winning tickets was VERY easy since they could play any games without limit or cost, and they could then trade in the tickets for prizes or the snacks. It was funny, the kids valued the tickets as much as the prizes, it was like money to them. [shrug]
You mention all those things for the party, I wish I was invited as well........................LOL...........sounds like your kids are very fortunate to have such caring parents that are willing to go above and beyond for them.........................I hope you all had fun.......
Take care and BOL.............
