So goes the line I'm hearing from talking heads with respect to the current market highs (and the insinuation that it will continue higher rather than crash like 2000 or even correct).

I just use real (not mental) stops and use stop orders to buy futures overnight to protect against horrible gap-ups on the vxx, which are surely coming at some point.
I have no idea what the market is going to do, I don't even try to guess to tell the truth. I pretty much stick to what look like inefficiencies to me or mis-priced type things and take my chances that way. Not saying I am any good at it...

Watch out gang. Hmmm... I read that two ways: This time it IS different as in the market's strong enough that it WON'T correct like in the past. and... This time it IS different as in it's obvious the market is skating on thin ice and there's no doubt it's going to correct. Which one? |

Keepin' it simple, needs to prove over 2 1 3 8 I just read last night a piece by Goldman where they said we may touch 2150 and not much more as they expect the mkt. to do nothing for about a year.............that may not be good news for long term investors, but it is great for day trading ................
