I'll probably be wrong, but... MNKD's chart over the last 2.5 weeks seems to be indicating it's about to get crushed. The only bullish hope is that gap above ~7.12.

... Have you noticed every time this name runs there are large insider sells?... See what I mean? Multiple insider sells this month. The latest sell exercised options at 1.69 and sold them for 7.75. Talk about timing! Pretty amazing for a Rule 10b5-1 pre-planned sell (remember my write-up on those?) Today's LOD was a breakout backtest. 6.60 is now the support for the recent uptrend. More insider selling in MNKD @ 7.19. I wonder why it takes 3-4 days for these to be filed and released after the transaction? Seems to me it could/should be same day.

Still waiting for those earnings. Thought they were to come before market open.
If this pops on those earnings, watch that 7.12 gap fill.

Yes Huh. THose insider sales are curious. Don't know what to make of them. Also your 3.70 call has me cautious as well.
And I thought the same about earnings. GL

Huh, where is your write up on 10B-5? Remember lots of these guys are compensated in options due to cap gains being taxed at a much lower rate than straight salary. And no SS or Medicare tax at all!

Here's the write-up I did on the 10b5-1. I mentioned before that the insider selling could be tax related. Hopefully that's all it is. I do believe the whole 10b5-1 thing is a crock though.

Walking it Down. Yet again...

Walking it Down. Yet again... Here's my current long term thoughts on MNKD...I may be way wrong, but something to consider. I showed before how similar MNKD's deal with SNY is with the deal REGN did with SNY back in November '07. (take a minute and read it if you haven't). But basically, REGN is up HUGE since then. However, after their deal was announced, REGN did pullback about 44% over the next 17 months or so. But this was because the entire market topped about the same time, and then crashed into March '09. REGN, in fact, held up better than all 3 major indices. And since the market bottom in March '09, REGN has been one of the best holdings out there - up more than 32x's (3,366%) since then. I had hoped MNKD would take off before this bull market topped out but it's only falling alongside a rising market. Maybe it still will take off before then. Or maybe the bull market's not topping at all. But if this bull market is near a top, I have to wonder if MNKD won't see similar action as REGN did. I believe MNKD is one of the best long term holds out there fundamentally, but in the near term there could be a better buy and hold price coming yet if this market is about to run out of steam. I believe MNKD will see at least upper 40's some day, but in the nearer term I'll be waiting to see if there isn't a lower entry price coming since I do feel the market is very near a top. Until that happens, or until a bottoming pattern occurs in its chart, I'll likely only be watching MNKD (diligently). JMO

Thanks Huh -- I always appreciate your thoughts. ANd I tend to agree about the market and MNKD pulling back. I'm leaning to taking half off sometime this week. Can see it hitting 5.50 again without a problem. Is it possible to love and hate a stock at the same time?!?!?!?
THanks again and keep your thoughts/charts coming.

There is a very strong case for a bullish pattern down ~4, so if it were to get there I think I'd take a shot at it regardless of what the market is doing.

OK, my short term calls suck. I got it already! Mid term calls pretty good, and long term calls even better. Next mid-term target is now <6.00. (longer term target even lower) MNKD Downgraded to Sell at Goldman SachsTrading under $6.00 in pre-market, down ~10%. Another good example of my short term calls sucking. Said mid-term target <6.00, but after yesterday's action, I would have thought this would first see 7.12 in the next couple days. I simply can't call the moves on the way to hitting those longer term targets.

5.78-5.85 should now act as support in MNKD - it would be bad if it were to lose that. If >6.23, it would be very a good swing long set-up.

Hoping it closes above 6. GS makes the rules, everyone else has to follow... what a market... GL If it loses 5.97, it confirms loss of support, and 5.25 becomes possible. JMO Hopefully it fills today's opening gap instead. >6.23 would make that likely (and perhaps 7.12 gap fill as well).
