I just saw reg unleaded for 2.63 on the turnpike between Tulsa and Dallas. Just found some pure unleaded (no ethanol) in the area about 45-50miles into the VA heartland at a gas station manned by Cool Abdul from Pakistan for 2.85.

That is actually cheaper than here for real gas. Too bad gas doesn't keep, or you could stock up.

and the UUP is a ittle red today very strange energy market lately I wouldn't play this since it's such a long shot, but ... charts could easily support a quick move in oil from ~75 to 91/92, if only for a backtest of failed support (and if it happened it would likely begin with a gap-up). Interesting observation... Energy (XLE) not down nearly as much as the indices. Maybe oil gets a small reprieve next week? And by small reprieve, I mean huge but quick pop similar to what happened in gold.

Would love to see Sister turn bearish on the energy sector today. That would definitely confirm a short term bottom.

Bloomberg: Oil at $75 means patches of Texas shale turn unprofitable Nov 20 2014, 11:59 ET | By: Carl Surran, SA News Editor Contact this editor with comments or a news tip With crude at $75/bbl - the price Goldman Sachs says will be the average in next year's Q1 - 19 U.S. shale regions including parts of the Eaglebine and Eagle Ford in Texas are no longer profitable, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. At least a dozen companies including Continental Resources (NYSE:CLR) and SandRidge (NYSE:SD) said on conference calls in the past month that they would reduce capital spending plans because of lower prices; Apache (NYSE:APA) said today it would cut spending in North America by 25% while still increasing production 8%-12% vs. an annual average of 29% since 2009.By contrast, the biggest-producing fields - North Dakota's Bakken and the Permian and Eagle Ford in Texas - pump a combined 4.7M bbl/day, and those regions remain economic at $55-$65/bbl.

Gold fell 16 bucks from the morning high. It was only up ~12 from yesterday's close. But 1191 is support now. So long as it holds that, it should be OK. (if not, -20 bucks in a flash) (Oil fell 2.77% from its high)

Otherwise, riveting market today.
