Put a buy in this morning for 4.98. Didn't get filled, even though it did trade there briefly. Then chased it with a buy @ 5.25, but decided to change it to 5.21 after watching a few minutes of action. The following low was 5.24. So I canceled that bid.
Patience...patience...PATIENCE! (It's so hard at times).

Follow-up to what I posted above re: convertible notes... Someone on ST informed me that the Deerfield conversions may be complete as per the most recent 10Q. And that does appear to be the case. However a new agreement was created to allow up to an additional $60 Million (12M shares) in convertible notes at a conversion rate not less than $5.00, conversion price based on the volume weighted average over the prior 3 days. So if I'm understanding this correctly, the max convertible amount was increased from 40 Million to $60 Million, and the range of days used for the volume weighted average price went from 20 days to only 3. In short, I may not be waiting near as long as I had thought to get back into this. More detailed info can be found on their most recent 10Q, page 13. (this link will download the 10Q as a PDF file)Running 3 day VWAP: 4.96 So, whadd'ya think? Were those convertible note holders buying today? LOL Real question is, were they able to get all $60 Million worth (12M shares)? I don't think so. (at least I hope not! It did trade over 16M shares)

Long MNKD at 6.06.
Still pissed I didn't get filled on that 4.98 buy order. Had to instead wait for it to break some resistance.

Filled on another pre-set buy in MNKD at 5.95, avg. now 6.00. Looks as if I might have picked the exact wrong day to start buying this.

So Maxi you still don't like MNKD - ever? I do like the concept of inhaled insulin. Why would Sanofi partner up if they did not believe in it? Just wanting to be educated here, as I continue to be a novice.

Just wanting to be educated here, as I continue to be a novice. I just think MNKD until something really substantial changes has had it's day and it's big run. Nothing wrong with holding a tiny amount "in case" but with a stop loss for sure. As for Sanofi they are in trouble ( I beleive I read they are down 40% for the year) and literally grasping at straws. Larger pharma companies put money into all manner of ideas. Not all of them are big winners.

One other reason MNKD could go up in the short term is the earnings report November 3. If they have sold a lot of inventory or in some other way improved their balance sheet and honestlycan state they see further improvement in NUMBERS in the future ..... then the stock will rise.

If MNKD can break >6.20, upside target is 8.70's w/ res's (consolidation points) at 6.50 (top BB), 7.08 (200dma), 7.50 (100dma) and ~8.12.
Breaking over some of those resistances would also set-up multiple & different bullish patterns.

Stopped out of MNKD but only in order to buy a little lower here (and use a lower long term stop). Thinking/hoping this might be the last pullback before an upside breakout, and a quick one.

Not stopped out yet...I had a stop in and thought it had hit (5.95). Apparently it didn't. Dropping that stop by a penny now. Still debating whether it's worth the risk. Only looking for a final pullback to ~5.62-5.65.

Technically speaking, MNKD broke out today. And it's good it did that late day drop to fill the opening gap.
We'll see if it can hold

Hoping it can hold 6.50 today (1st resistance of the breakout). Doesn't look like it will hold. Back to 6.30's likely. Would need a move back over 6.62 now to break the intraday bearish pattern.
