I am trying to decide if I should grab some of this for my 401K. I didn't have the energy to jump in all those years ago when you all started talking about it. What's a good jump in point? Tracy Well the entry birthmark got would be a good one IMHO, I think this whole holiday week pullback/consolidation was a blessing for shorts as this has already broken out and over a 4 year bullish pattern. So anything around here is a good buy. But if it does pullback some more, ~9.46 & 8.98 would be the other FIB spots. Under 8.90's & something likely wrong in the short term. I noticed that over the last week there were some large sells by 3 insider officers (20K-30K shares each). In fact, over the last 3 months, there has been large insider sells. I'm hoping that this is % ownership jockeying for some partnership/buyout set-up, and not a sign of an impending drop.

Oh...and if it gaps up Monday, 10.32-10.35 is the small iH&S target and gap fill. Would expect it might pullback some from there before heading higher.

I miss all this charting talk. I wish I had the time to really learn it. The good thing is, my whole experience showed me just how much I don't know. Sadly, that knowledge keeps me from trading whatsoever. I do wish I had bought facebook at 18, though, I remembered enough of the conversation to remark to myself when I saw it hit that this was the time.....

If MNKD can't take out 10.20 here in the next few minutes, should drop to 9.80's. And that could set-up for a test of the 9.40's.

Good news for this stock, Thomson-Reuters just downgraded it. If it hits 9.45, I'm in.

Not saying it will happen (though the potential is there), but if it were crazy enough to hit 8.98 tomorrow morning, buy it & set a tight stop. Near term upside target would be >13 (near term as in by early next week).

The question is do you REALLY wanna find yerself long in a crap stock even though the rumors about a buy out are so strong WHEN THE MARKET IS LIKELY TURNING???

Ironic thing is I'd love to see this hit 8.97/8.98 on some crazy news story today then reverse up into EOD. That could indicate that the next leg up may be coming quicker than expected. Nearly all the big up moves have been preceded by quick down moves on some false/old/bullish news story.
But yeah, I'd like to see some of the STwits/Twitter bulls go away.
I mean, come on, talks of possibly GOOG, or even AAPL!, buying them out? Gotta shake them.

The question is do you REALLY wanna find yerself long in a crap stock even though the rumors about a buy out are so strong WHEN THE MARKET IS LIKELY TURNING??? Yeah, I still am stuck in crap stocks the last time I tried playing around in crap stocks! Bio-techs are tough because of the large swings. It's hard to buy the pullbacks at times. For example, when I bought MNKD the last time I was doing so with it down 25% from that day's high on bullish news. But it was following the charts exactly. The charts forecasted that swing to happen. When you expect those moves before hand, they are a lot easier to stomach, even if they happen all at once.

This is NOT the time to buy MNKD. And as for a buy out? There is not one single bio stock in the stock universe that is not said to be a buy out candidate. If you have to be in MNKD buy one hundred shares and place a stop where you do not want to LOSE any more money. Except for Mark I really have no idea why any of you are contemplating buying this stock....

But considering both the fundamental potential in conjunction with the bullish chart? Seems like an extremely good risk reward (~160:1). One of the best I've ever seen, even considering option plays.
